What was the name of the Motown Records studio group that played on almost every one of the label’s hits between 1959 and 1972? Although the exact number of musicians involved is not known, Paul Justman’s 2002 documentary identified thirteen of them, and those musicians were later honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
